Product Information:
Why choose just one of the three varieties of fresh cherries that we carry? Buy an entire Season and get all three!
As the different cherry varieties ripen throughout July, you'll receive three pounds of Bing cherries, three pounds of Lapin cherries, and three pounds of Sweetheart cherries -- each harvested and sent approximately one week apart.
In July, Washington-grown cherries are also available in local grocery stores, and looking mighty good too. So every year, we buy some -- just to check out the competition. And every year, we are happy to report that our cherries -- direct from the orchard at Batch Family Farms -- are just better. They're bigger, juicier, crisper and more flavorful, and we are thrilled to offer them to you.
Washington produces some of the finest cherries, apples and pears in the world, but most of that fruit is picked too early, because it needs to travel by truck or train across the country to reach your supermarket.
At Batch's Best Farms in the high plateau of eastern Washington, the fruit is allowed to ripen on the tree rather than en route to the store. Tom Batch's family hand-picks each piece of fruit, and then the cherries are checked for size, color, firmness, and even to be sure they have a stem, five times, before they are boxed and shipped. This means every cherry is, well, cherry-picked from all the rest!
Order today to make sure you receive your fruit the way nature intended it to be eaten! Once you have tried our hand-picked, tree-ripened cherries, you'll see why we think they are so exceptional.
PLEASE NOTE - THESE CHERRIES WILL BE SHIPPED THE DAY THEY ARE PICKED. WE ESTIMATE THAT THE SHIP DATE WILL BE JULY 7TH (for Bings), JULY 14TH (for Lapins), and JULY 20th (for Sweethearts). THIS IS A SEASONAL ITEM, AVAILABLE BY PRE-ORDER ONLY!
Important Shipping Information:
* Please plan to be available on delivery day, so that your cherries don't have to sit outside in hot weather. We will email you a few days before the cherries are expected to arrive.
* Price includes two-day express shipping within the continental United States. Call us (800.596.0885) for Alaska or Hawaii. We are unable to ship fresh fruit to international destinations.
* Our system may add our standard ground shipping charge to every order. Don't worry -- this extra shipping charge will be removed from fruit-only orders as they are processed.
* If you order other items in addition to fresh fruit, please select the shipping you would like us to use for the rest of your order. The fruit will automatically ship separately via 2-day air, and we will adjust shipping charges accordingly. (For simplicity, we recommend placing a separate order for non-fruit items.)
* Our cherries are ripe and ready to eat right out of their box. However, we recommend removing the plastic bag of cherries from the foil liner, and chilling the fruit in the refrigerator for 24 hours before eating or in ice water for 5-10 minutes. This helps them crisp up after their journey. The cherries will keep in the refrigerator for up to one week. It's also always a good idea to wash all fruit before eating it.
For Gift Orders:
We will send out a special "Fresh Fruit Gift Card" to the recipient of your gift. Please note any personal message you would like included when you place your order.
