It's back!!! We found a new supplier for fresh, never frozen winter troll king.

Wild King Salmon is fabulous -- when you can get it. We worked closely with a native Alaskan family to get fresh (never frozen) troll king salmon during the off-season. We now work with a wonderful supplier here in Seattle who air-ships fresh, never frozen salmon in daily. He supplies all the high-end restaurants here in Seattle, and the quality and condition of the salmon is the best we have seen yet.

However, no ship date can be guaranteed in advance. Please tell us what week you would would ideally like to receive your salmon -- and we will try our best to get it to you when you need it. Salmon availability is hard to predict, because the weather in Alaska this time of year is so variable. If the weather is very cold, or the sea is too rough, then no one is fishing. (Can you blame them?) It is also a good idea to let us know what you want us to do if the fish does not ship on your deisred week. We try to let everyone know when the fish actually ships as soon as we know.

Many of our customers place standing orders with us. And we will fill those order whenever we can. As a general rule -- we can get fish every other week. I guess everything worthwhile in life is worth waiting for!

SPECIAL-ORDER INFORMATION:

This is a caught-to-order product, and due to changing conditions, winter salmon fishing is not possible every day in Alaska. When you place your order by phone (800.596.0885) or at ChefShop.com, let us know when you would like to have your salmon (please order about a week in advance). We will contact our suppliers in Alaska, and then we will contact you to let you know when the salmon will be available. Please feel free to call us for more details.

If your order includes both fresh fish and other items, the fish will ship separately and you will be charged our regular ground shipping for the non-perishable items.
