
Candied fruit from France, dried cherries along with coconut (coconut is a fruit after all) make these quality ingredients a wonderful part of our baking aisle. Every year from before Thanksgiving through Christmas our fruit-cake-making customers seek us out for our high quality candied cherries, candied lemon peel and candied orange peel. Why? Because we carry the best fruit peel around! We have tried many others, but they are just not the same. Although not all of the purest ingredients -- especially the cherries -- they do taste and handle well. We keeping thinking about making our own candied fruit peel from organic fruit -- but so far we have not had the guts.
Also, chocolate-maker prefer the shape and size of the candied orange and lemon rind. Cut just right - not too thick.
And for you prune-eaters out there -- you have not lived until you have tasted our dried aged prunes from France. Moist and soft -- I have not had better. Ditto for the jumbo red raisens -- why settle for less in your oatmeal every morning! We have customers who sware by them!
