9.6 oz Toffee Waffle Cookies - West Wales

Handmade in Wales, these butter toffee waffles have a distinct flavour and texture. They are delicious served slightly warmed by placing over a steaming mug of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, or in the oven or microwave. A sweet, soft, slightly spiced butter toffee filling is released from within when bitten into. Also terrific when served cold with ice cream. The waffles are crafted using only the finest ingredients and are vegetarian.

About the Producer:

A growing family business Tregroes Waffles is a family business that started making waffles in the old village shop in Tregroes, West Wales, in 1984. Initially, the family sold the waffles only at shows and markets, baking them on their waffle irons as demand dictated.

Tregroes Waffles became such an institution and in such high demand that large volumes of stock had to be produced and packed in the intervening days between the markets. Soon, local shops grew interested and the first steps were taken to package the waffles for sale by shops.

From these small beginnings, the business grew out of its original premises in Tregroes and moved in 1994 to a bigger building in nearby Llandysul, where they currently work with a team of around 14 people. Tregoes Waffles are now popular throughout Wales and the UK, sold at Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Fortnum and Mason's, among many others. We suspect they'll be a hit here, too!
